The Good

  • Modern design in the newer international terminal with floor-to-ceiling windows
  • Gulf Coast gumbo at lunch is restaurant-quality and unique among Sky Clubs
  • Less crowded than the DFW Sky Club since Hobby handles less Delta traffic
  • Excellent runway views from the window seats

The Bad

  • Only accessible to Delta flyers, leaving Southwest passengers without any lounge option
  • Smaller than major hub Sky Clubs with limited seating during peak hours
  • Closes at 8:30 PM which can be tight for later evening departures

Pro Tips

  • The Gulf Coast gumbo appears at lunch around 11:30 AM and is made with a local Houston recipe. It is the best food item here by far.
  • Ask for Karbach Love Street on tap. Brewed in Houston, it is a light blonde ale perfect for afternoon flights.
  • The quiet work pods in the back corner are rarely full since Hobby does not get heavy business travel. Great for a peaceful work session.
  • If you have a morning flight, the sunrise views through the floor-to-ceiling windows are spectacular. Grab a window seat on the east side.
