The Good

  • Fresh-pressed stroopwafels are a genuine Dutch treat you will not find anywhere else at IAH
  • Bitterballen and Dutch cheese add an international flair that breaks up the standard airport lounge experience
  • Generally uncrowded before the evening European departure wave

The Bad

  • Very limited hours, only open from 2:00 PM onward
  • Small space with limited seating capacity
  • Only one shower suite means potential waits during busy periods

Pro Tips

  • Time your visit for right at 2:00 PM opening to get the freshest stroopwafels. They press them fresh and the first batch is always the best.
  • The bitterballen are a Dutch fried snack you will not find elsewhere at the airport. Try them with the sharp mustard, not ketchup.
  • If you have Priority Pass and your flight departs after 4:00 PM, this is a unique lounge experience compared to generic Priority Pass options.
  • Ask the bartender for a genever. It is a traditional Dutch spirit similar to gin but smoother, and pairs perfectly with the cheese plate.
