The Good

  • Recently refreshed as part of the new Terminal A project at Newark
  • Shower facilities are welcome for early morning arrivals or long connections
  • Solid food and drink offerings with friendly staff
  • Less crowded than the United Clubs in Terminal C

The Bad

  • Located in Terminal A, which is separate from Terminal C. You cannot walk to the United lounges without re-clearing security.
  • Smaller than many other Admirals Club locations in major cities
  • Food quality is standard Admirals Club fare, nothing exceptional

Pro Tips

  • If you are connecting between American Airlines and United at Newark, be aware that Terminal A and Terminal C require the AirTrain and a new security screening. Do not plan to visit lounges in both terminals.
  • The new Terminal A rebuild has improved this lounge significantly. It is brighter and more modern than the old location.
  • Shower suites here are less in demand than at the mega-hub clubs. You can usually get in within 10 minutes even during moderate peak times.
  • Ask about the New Jersey craft beer options. They rotate local selections that showcase the growing NJ brewery scene.
