The Good

  • Large space with plenty of seating even during moderate peak times
  • Shower facilities are welcome before or after transatlantic flights
  • Solid food options that improve during lunch when pizza slices appear
  • Tarmac views of American Airlines and British Airways aircraft at the gates

The Bad

  • Terminal 8 is one of the older terminals at JFK and the club shows its age in spots
  • Food quality is decent but not on par with the Centurion or Turkish Airlines lounges
  • Can get very crowded before the afternoon London departures

Pro Tips

  • The New York-style pizza slices that appear during the lunch service are surprisingly authentic. They source them from a local Queens pizzeria.
  • If you are flying British Airways from Terminal 8, you have access to both this Admirals Club and the British Airways Galleries Lounge in Terminal 7 via the airside connector. Check both and pick whichever is less crowded.
  • Shower suites fill up fast before the evening transatlantic departures. Request one immediately on arrival if you need to freshen up.
  • The seats in the far-right section near the windows are the quietest and last to fill. Most travelers cluster near the entrance and bar.
